Why choose us?
"To be better today than we were yesterday..."
Each child has the opportunity to begin the day reflecting upon the choices in which each has made the day before. We encourage our children to choose a word that embodies the person they want to be. Then we help our students find a scripture or quote that allows a foundation of faith to be established. By this, we strive to provide an atmosphere that is built upon God's Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Exceptional Teachers
This exceptional group of teachers have been chosen due to the overwhelming passion they have to guide students towards the success to be the best they can be! Their hearts overflow with the God's Fruits of the Spirit. The ability to acknowledge their strengths and weaknesses in order to collaborate as a team for the best interest of the individual students is one the most amazing trait they have. The unbelievable size of their caring hearts, creative problem solving skills, optimistic determination, and positive motivation is absolutely refreshing which allows the students the feeling of family and confidence of success.

Meet the Administrator
I am Dr. Emily Harber Williams, Founder, President and Executive Director of Micah's Mission. I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Delta State University. I earned a Masters in Special Education emphasis in Emotional-Behavioral Disorders from the University of Southern Mississippi and Masters in Philosophy from Walden University. In the fall of 2020, I completed my Ph.D in Education emphasis Educational Policy, Leadership and Management. I received my Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in 2024. I began as a Physical Education Teacher and Coach at Lee Academy in Clarksdale, MS for three years. Afterwards, I moved back to my hometown of Benton, MS and began my journey as a Special Education Teacher. After being a Lead Special Education Teacher from 2011-2017 in the Vicksburg-Warren School District, I followed God’s calling to “step out of the boat”. I will forever be grateful that God chose me for this mission. As the administrator, I strive to provide an environment for students to learn full circle with no judgement. Students learn the meaning of excellence and are able to meet their level of excellence for their personal best.... not somebody else's best, but their own! As we continue to #build the boat, we have begun to "raise the sail" for the Holy Spirit to continue to guide this educational mission. #forevergrateful
