                      Our Mission:

Educational Mission that provides hope in a Hybrid Learning and Resource Environment for K-12 at-risk students through project-based learning, online independent learning, Dyslexia Therapy, daily living learning, Pre-work skills, and a love for Jesus.

                      Our Vision:

"...Act Justly, Love Mercy, and Walk Humbly with Your God." - Micah 6:8

Micah' s Mission School, Inc. is a Hybrid Learning and Resource Center for at-risk children and youth K-12. Our Corporate Microschool Model is founded on the principle of God’s teachings through the story of Micah and how we are expected to create social justice through social change. All students are working towards a high school diploma or certificate to be prepared for college or the workforce. Micah's Mission provides a way for students, with or without disabilities, to learn full circle within a microschool environment. Meaning, our students are able to learn life skills that will increase their preparedness for the real world after graduation with a faith-based foundation that increases character traits such as integrity, motivation, courage and much, much more. Our students are able to learn at the pace and level in which they individually need while accepting others where they individually are without judgement. Our students have had challenge after challenge which has led them to being at-risk of failing, at-risk for not graduating, at-risk for negative choices, at-risk for constant frustration in a traditional class due to the rigor, and finally at-risk for increase of giving up on life itself. We meet the needs of our children and youth who have Autism, Down Syndrome, Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia/Dysgraphia/Dyscalculia, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADD/ADHD, Sickle Cell, those who have special circumstances when it comes to hospitalization for themselves or family members, those who need small group to learn, opportunity to listen to music as they learn, those who have nowhere else to go, and a lower student to teacher ratio. Two years of research was done in order to come to the conclusion that our community did not have an alternate learning opportunity. Since establishing this new way of learning, our enrollment has increased. As a team of educators, we provide a compassionate safe haven, without judgment, in an environment that motivates each student to be the best person they can be.

Micah's Mission provides hybrid support through parents choice of amount of subjects, activities, field trips, and community service their child requires. For our online students, we recommend utilizing http://www.time4learning.com as the curriculum, because this resource aligns with the College and Career Readiness Standards. T4L has an online portfolio to demonstrate progress and mastery with a provided transcript. In addition, an achievement test will be decided upon to indicate progress and testing skills to end the year by parent per students individual need. In building student create an academic portfolio that aligns with Mississippi Department of Education's Homeschool Standards to meet graduation criteria.
